The Fate's Foretold - Dragonlord Odyssey

A commission to show the DnD party The Fate's Foretold towards the end of their Odyssey of the Dragonnlords campaign. We see the heroes on their ship, the Ultros, as they sail towards the Praxys tower, where the god Sydon and their destiny awaits. They are accompanied by their dragon companions.

I had a lot of fun bringing this scene to life. I learned a lot about my own workflow. Using 3D-Previs was important to create the composition and where the shadows should fall. The mast of the ship symbolises a visual barrier between the majority of the groups and the characters who, over the course of the story got more distance from the rest or even live on borrowed time. We see aspects of each character's abilities taken shape on this picture.
