These are samples from the 3D layout I made during my 7 month internship at Burki Scherer AG for the "Rubia Coffee Ride" film project done for JURA Schweiz. My work on this project included character, creature and camera animation, creating the 3D layout, some background modeling, set dressing as well as other pending tasks as they came up.
This film is shown in a cinema at JURA that can be visited. They wanted to create an immersive experience without relying on 3D or VR. So instead there was a main screen in the middle and two angled screens on the side.
Here you can see the full panorama view. Part of my job was to experiment with their 3 camera rig and create a previs for every scene. The examples shown here are already at a further stage, most of the final models, set dressing and some work in progress animation was already put into the scenes. My original build had more simple cubes. However my first version then inspired the concept artists and final look. I think these examples show a good mix of where I started and where it went.
